FANIDER, of Orange township, fired off his gun. The result was a broken collar bone. A little boy, son of Robert YOUNG, was seriously injured at Anna, on Tuesday. We did not learn the particulars. On Wednesday week Mike ZISELER met with a painful accident at the Trissel saw mill north of Hardin, by having the index and second fingers of his left hand badly lacerated by a saw, leaving part of the cartilage of the knuckle sticking to the saw. The fourth man injured at this mill. W. SANDERS, of Cynthian township, had a finger broken by a thresher on Tuesday of last week. Hardin County (From the Republican) Rev. T.H. WILSON of this place will dedicate a new Methodist church near Delphos on next Sunday a week. Rev. WILSON has probably dedicated more churches to the worship of God, than any other minister in the Central Ohio Conference. Hancock County (From the Courier) Mr. Michael LAUK left at our office a bunch of the longest and nicest wheat heads that ever we have seen, of the Treadwell variety, both bearded and smooth, some of which measure seven inches in length. It was raised on the farm of Eli ROPP, in Seneca county, four miles from Fostoria. One evening last week Judge WHITLEY and G.W. MYERS had a little foot race on Main street, the Judge to run backwards. A fair start was had without any difficulty, and the Judge was getting the best of the race until he struck his heel against an obstruction, when over he went on his back, and MYERS passed him and gained the race. It was fun for the boys, but the Judge didn't enjoy the race very well. Van Wert County (From the Bulletin) Mr. George HULL's grocery store was burglarized again on Monday night. The thieves did not secure a large amount of booty. On Friday last Mr. Newell WILCOX, of this town, was severely bruised about the face and shoulders, the result of his team running away while he was driving near Venedocia, in York township. He was cared for by a farmer until Sunday, when he was brought home. Mr. H.A. McELWAIN, proprietor of the Farmer's Eating Saloon, while handling a revolver on Tuesday morning, accidentally discharged one of the barrels, the load lodging in his left forearm, producing a painful wound. One of the BOYERS, who assisted in stealing a beef, north of town last fall, for which he was arrested but successful in making good his escape, was re-arrested on our streets, on Saturday, by Mr. C.F. BICKFORD. Deputy Sheriff COMER will furnish home with roast beef. ==== OHSHELBY Mailing List ==== Check out Shelby County, OHGenWeb page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohshelby/mnpg.html ============================== View and search Historical Newspapers.
