    3. In researching my McClellan/d family with connections in Shelby Co., I have found a 1856 birth (Bible record) for Rebecca Hill, Jackson Center, " in a log cabin near Sidney, Ohio." She was the 3rd child of James Hill and Josephine Winland, both of Hamilton County. This couple's (marr. Ham. Co. 1852) first 2 children, and last 8 children were all born in Hamilton County, and Rebecca was married in Hamilton Co. to F.P. McClelland. Why the Shelby Co. birth for Rebecca? I was researching Robert Warwick McClelland who married Mary Gertrude Cole, 1876 Shelby Co (Dau. Broad Cole) in Turtlecreek Twp. Their first child (Carey McClelland) was born in Hamilton Co., with the others born back in Shelby/Turtlecreek. During the years 1850-1890 were there other Shelby Co. families with "history" in both counties? Is this possibly due to the canal for transportation north and south or were there commercial ventures between the counties? Is anyone researching McClellan/ds in Shelby Co., and Hill or Winland? Thanks. Judith Watt State College, PA Judith Watt State College, PA __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
