    3. I am hoping to keep this brief for the sake of all working persons, but I do want to write clearly. I am not really requesting replies, because Mary Renner and Maria Mastin have both indicated how busy they are. I want to focus on Peter Wagner. The Peter Wagner1 who is the son of Mathias Wagner and Marie Elizabeth Romons (and the brother of Anthony and George) may not be the same as the Peter Wagner2 who was a member of Holy Angels Church and who cared for Mary Cyphers, and possibly also Barbara and Sagbina. The reason for this is that if peter Wagner1's birthday was anywhere near his brother George's (dob 20 Jun 1838),he would have been a little young to take on the care of Mary Cyphers (dob 13 Jan 1848) not long after she arrived in this country in about 1856. You may want to file this right now, because the next question which this brings-up is whether either Peter Wagner was married. I stumble across a Mary Wagner married to a Peter Wagner from about the right time in Ohio. I have also stumbled across two Mary Wagners with no parent or spouse mentioned in the 1870 census, both in Sidney, Shelby, Ohio. One was born in 1839, and the other in 1843. I cannot connect either of these with either Peter at this time. One could be the Mary Linder who married George Wagner. This raises the question of where various people were born, because the Cyphers-Wagner connection which concerns me may go back to Europe. The apparent natural father of the Cyphers girls, John Seibert, was born in Germany, according to information from Barbara's death certificate, as reported by John Holder. I have various reports from the Cyphers girls (who were 7,8,and 9 when they came over). Barbara and Sabina both reported Bavaria and Germany at different times. I also came across something for Mary that stated ALSACE GERMANY. There could be different reasons for this, including the politics of different times and even the fact that they were apparently not blonde. It is interesting to me that I have come across references to the birth places of Peter Wagner (from about that time in Ohio) in France, Germany, ALSACE GERMANY, and Ohio. I hope I have not bored anyone. Again, my e-mail is: sfranz7@sbcglobal.net; and my address is: 1130 W. Cornelia Unit I, Chicago, IL 60657. Sincerely, Sandra Franz
