Hello list, My name is Maria Mastin and I was interested to read the postings on Monday about the Linder/Wagner family. I am a descendant of Anna Margaret Wagner who was a daughter of Anthony Joseph Wagner and Barbara Manger (my 3rd great grandparents). One of Anthony's brothers was named Peter Wagner. Another brother was George Wagner who married Mary Linder. I have Mary's parents as George Linder and Margaret Holtz. It seems likely to me that we have a connection. Anthony, George and Peter were all sons of Mathias Wagner and Marie Elizabeth Romons. I believe that the Wagner, Linder and Romons families were all prominent in Sidney and many are buried in Graceland Cemetery. Linder, Mary - female, white, widow Residence 316 E. The obituary of Barbara indicates her husband was John Holder and her two sons were John and George Holder of Sidney. Mary Linder is also mentioned as a sister but there are no other relatives mentioned. The obituary of Mary Linder indicates she was the widow of George Linder. It indicates Mary came to this country when she was 8 years old and that she was the last of a family of three girls raised by Peter Wagner. Both of these obituaries indicate funeral services were held at Holy Angeles Catholic Church in Sidney. Peter Wagner was a prominent member of this church. I am betting there is a family relationship between Peter and the Seibers/Seibert girls.
