Shelby Co Ohio Death Records, Book 1, 1867-1881 has this entry: STANGLE, (no first name), born USA?, died 12/26/1867 Franklin Twp, cause of death: immaturity, parents Michael and Sarah Stengle (note that name is spelled Stangle and Stengle in the same record?) Memorial Records of Shelby Co Ohio lists Stengel's and Stangel's.... all buried at Pearl Cemetery.... page 428: Stengel, J.M. 8/7/1821-5/30/1900 Stengel, Salome 2/5/1824-12/17/1903 page 429: Stangel, Sebastian 1830-1900 Stangel, Christina 1857-1930 i've got a few Kah's and a coupla Schiff's in Shelby County.... no where near my direct line though... you don't happen to have ancestors for any of them do you? oh... the 1880 census on ancestry.com for Dinsmore Twp, Shelby Co, Ohio has this: STANGLE, Sebastian, 49y, brother-in-law, farmer doesn't show a wife... and he's living with John and Barbara Brideweser, so i guess he's Barbara's brother? steve koons, dayton, ohio
