Surname: BODKIN/BOTKIN The 1820 census has six age categories for males, then six age categories for females, then a column for "foreigners not naturalized" then columns for persons engaged in agriculture, commerce and manufacture. I have a conflict with what I know verses the number listed "foreigners not naturalized". Does anyone know if this column was possibly used for another purpose? Taxable livestock, out buildings, etc?
