KAREN: Have you tried the Miami Valley surname records? Go using google to Miami Co. Ohio Genealogical Society web site; covers 7 SW Ohio counties, including Shelby. Many pioneers into Shelby Co. were first in adjacent Warren, Miami or other counties. Or their parents were and offspring went "north" to Shelby for land. Quite a few Moore in Deerfield Twp. Warren Co. & many folks from there went to Shelby. One Jeremiah Moore didn't move, was elected to Ohio Legislature 1820? and had a number of offspring. ps: many Moore in SW Ohio came from PA where perents were MURRY or MURRAY and half changed their surname to Morrow Morris LeFever
