Subscription to Genealogy.com and Ancestry.com When I subscribe to either of the above services, I ask the representative how long do I have to cancel, if I decide to do so. They tell me the rules. I then tell them, before I give them my credit card information, that I want them to make a notation that my service will not renewed and that they have put a stop date for cancellation on the subscription. I am not interested in their subscriptions for $199. or $99. I normally get just one of the subscription, like Historic Newspapers, etc. I ask that they confirm this by e-mail which they have done. I then check back and look at my subscription to make sure that they have done this. Make sure you get the representative name and number. I think that they have a location number also. I do it this way after a friend of mine had the subscriptions renewed automatically. Roberta
