Laurie - Perhaps you have information that will confirm that I am "in the family". I'm a descendant of Jacob Diegel, who first settled in Lorain County, then moved to Auglaize County about 1860. Jacob's brother George had settled in Washington Township near New Knoxville much earlier (before 1840, I think). I have quite a lot of information about their families. I have seen compilations that show Catherine Diegel, the wife of Mathias Accuntius, was a sister of Jacob and George. The ages are about right - Jacob was born in 1798, Catherine about 1803, and George in 1811. All of them settled in Auglaize County. However, I have no information (other than compilations that I have been unable to verify) that would confirm that they were siblings. Any ideas?
