    1. Re: [OHSHELBY] Re: Seventh Day Baptists
    2. I am downline from Shelby Co Seventh Day Baptist Lines of LIPPINCOTT or LIPPENCOTT, MAXSON, and DAVIS. My GG Grandparents = Lucinda LIPPINCOTT m. Benaiah BOTKIN. Lucinda's parents Samuel LIPPINCOTT Jr. and Hannah MAXSON buried in Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Shelby Co. Lucinda's sister Sarah LIPPINCOTT m. Ervin Finch DAVIS, s/o James Madison DAVIS. Her grandmother Amy MAXSON (m. Samuel LIPPINCOTT Sr.) was d/o Ephraim MAXSON and Elizabeth DAVIS. I'm also interested in any historic info from Jackson Center, Shelby County, related to Seventh Day Baptists. Many of my SDB lines eventually migrated to Tama County, IA.

Surnames: Davis, Hughes, Lynch Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CYB.2ACE/25.1 Message Board Post: I saw your old posting with the surnames Davis , Hughes, and Fitz Randolph. I was born in Shelby County, Ohio, and I had relatives with these surnames, including John James Davis b1838, James W Hughes b, 1949, and Fitz Randolph on another side of the family. I was wondering if you knew anyhting about them. They were dunkards, or 7 day Baptists, or brethren. They intermarried frequently, and I was told they were German, but that is not true. If you know about any of the above, let me know; if I can help you, let me know. Thanks, Jean Green
