The message I took this from is almost two years old. Is this information about joining still right? Is there any where that I can purchase a copy of Ms. Adams' book? They have it at the local Family History Center on microfilm but it is at the end of the film and I have to go through 4 other books to get to this one. Also, most of my ancestors lived in Shelby County and this has proved to be a goldmine of information for me. Thanks. Karen

My grandfather was Grover Rich (b. 3/23/1888 - d. 6/28/1960) m. 1927 to Bertha Irene Daniels (Irene Rich) b. 12/31/1898. They had two daughters: Betty and Patty (Patricia) Rich. I am researching Grover's parents right now: James L. Rich (b. Feb. 1847) and Jestina Blue (b. Nov. 1848). They had at least 11 (maybe 13) children. Some of the names are: Samuel, Walter, Harley, Clarence, and Grover. Jestina died in 1918. According to Civil War Pension Roster, James died around 1911. A very nice fellow provided most of the details to me. I am hoping that someone will recognize these names and contact me. I am interested in learning anything about descendents of James and Jestina and any information regarding their parents. Thanks! Karen
Hello Ronni, I happen to have the Allen county marriages and can offer you the following information: John Houtzer married Sarah Emaline Hagedorn Aug 12 1847 John C. Houtzer married Elizabeth Bohrer July 4 1865 Robert Houtzer married Adaline E. Curtis Dec 5 1869 Valentine Houtzer married Adaline Bohrer Sept 18 1862 Let me know if you need any birth information on this family as I have two books with births from 1867-1889 in Allen county. Maria Mastin
I am researching the Houtzer surname. John J. Houtzer came to Shelby Co in 1835 and may have left the county in 1845 for Allen Co. Does anyone do lookups for birth, marriage, death? John had a first wife that dies, don't know her name. John remarries to Marcuria (sp?) Kern approx. 1840 and has 3 children I know of: Valentine, Robert and John C. Houtzer. ===== Ronni Houtzer ><> Are you related to me? It appears that on the Shelby Co. Volunteer list, there is no one for H. Beers published 1882, that has a section devoted to Shelby Co. biographies. I would appreciate a brief response from some kind person regarding the Biography of JONATHAN STOUT. Also WALLACE S. DUVALL. I am mainly interested in any mention of early history, ancestors, where came from, etc. Thanks much, Morris LeFever.
Sue, I was interested in your posting for the marriage record of Lewis Kramer - I am researching Cromer which is often misspelt as Cramer/Kramer. I will check my records I may have a Lewis Kramer in the collections of things from Allen Co. and Shelby. I have both of these counties in with my Cromers. This may be a shot in the dark but thought it might be worth a try. Sue, No death records listed for Louis/Lewis or Jennie in "Memorial Records of Shelby Co., OH: 1819-1975." However, there is an older Louis Kramer listed who was born in 1843 in France and one listed for a Mrs. Louis Kramer born 1843 in Alsace-Lorraine. Could these be the parents of your Louis/Lewis who was the husband of Jennie? Jill
Louis Kramer m. Jennie Michel on 9 March 1886. Married by Rev. F. M. Quatman (or Quartman). Book 7, page 200 of Shelby Co., OH Marriage Records. Hope this is helpful. Jill

Walter Marion Wilson and Minnie Davenport (I understand that Minnie was from New Jersey). I have been able to track so far as Madeline being born in New Jersey in 1913. I have not found ANYTHING about Lawrence Kuntz. He lived in Cincinnatti, Ohio, born and died there. Later remarried to a nice lady named Aggie. Trying to locate any brothers or sisters or parents of Lawrence Kuntz. Any info?

Lived in Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio. Married Bertha Irene Rich (DOB 12/31/1898). My mother (Patricia Lou Rich DOB 2/22/38) never met or knew anything about her grandparents, aunts or uncles. Apparently Grover Rich had several siblings. My mother THINKS his parents were James or Wallace Rich and Justine or Justina Blue. On her mother's side, I have gotten as far as Frank A. Daniels (b. 1874) and Caroline Weimmer (b. 1874). They had several children: Frank, Charles, Bertha, Alma and Francis. I even found an entry on 1910 census but NOTHING after that. Grover MAY have been married earlier to a lady named Ella but I don't think there were any children. Does any of this sound familiar? Please email if you know anything. Thanks!

Looking for information on Floy Marguerite Ford who married Thomas Latimore Wilson in Shelby Co. in 1906. Her parents were Joseph and Julia Staley Ford.
Looking for information on Charles Thomas L. Wilson born 1879 in Shelby Co. His parents were William and Emma Keplinger Wilson. He married Anna Locker in 1901 and possibly remarried later in the 1900's.
