There are 7 Dingmans and 4 Gause listed in the book -- the book goes by cemetery and is not alphabetized. Only the index is alphabetized by surname. I can look up each one separate. Do you want all 11 or just certain ones? You can email me privately if you wish --- [email protected] Joan
Yes, there are 14 Cromers; any specific one or do you want all 14? email me privately at [email protected] Joan
would your book happen to have Gause or Dingman's, buried in Graceland cemetery? ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 11, 2001 3:57 PM Subject: Re: [OHSHELBY] Re: Shelby Co. David, Thank you. The dates for Herman Henry and Martha Belle did indeed help. I still have no idea whose child Mary Louise is but I suspect her father was Henry B. Albers, my grandfather's brother. Perhaps Catherine Elizabeth Albers would have been listed under Elizabeth Albers? Again, thank you. Bill, I think it more likely that you might know my brother or sister - Martha Jean or Bruce Drake. I hadn't started high school when we moved from Sidney. Hello. I noticed that you are from Sidney, I am also researching family in Shelby co., sorry I can't help with yours. I lived in Sidney with my family until graduated from Sidney High in 1958. Perhaps we know each other. Regards, Bill Ambos
Elizabeth, I can do multiple (four or five) lookups --- the book goes from 1819-1975. You can email me privately if you wish. By the way, I do not live in Sidney -- never did --- my daughter does and loves the small town feeling. My hubby is from McCartyville -- a very small town north of Sidney. Joan [email protected]
Joan, I have a request for a look up which would involve several generations; would you mind looking up four or five individuals, one would be an infant and I am not sure if she would be included)? Also I don't know the range of years the Memorial Book covers so one of the individuals might not be included (she died in the 1960s). I was born and raised (until age 15) in Sidney, left in 1962 and returned for the first time in the fall of 2000. It was a lot of fun to visit Central Elementary School, Big Rock and my old house. My son is attending Wittenberg University in Springfield (we live in Texas) so at some point before he graduates I hope to make an extended visit, perhaps stay in the Stone Castle and do a little genealogy snooping. Anyway, let me know if multiple lookups is too much to ask. Thanks, Elizabeth ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 10, 2001 8:50 AM Subject: Re: [OHSHELBY] Re: Shelby Co. Also I believe the book is still available from the Genealogical Society -- I do not remember the cost but here is the address Shelby County Genealogical Society 17755 St. Rt. 47 Sidney OH 45365-9242 Joan Huecker [email protected]
Hi Karen, Although it is not clear from your message which publication you are referring to, Shelby County Genealogical Society has many, many publications available, most of which Barbara Adams had a hand in. I would suggest going to the Shelby County Gen Society web site, http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohshelby/mnpg.html , and searching for their publication list. Barbara Adams was co-author of two early Shelby County marriage books, and look carefully for information on those publications under the Fort Loramie Genealogy Society publications, which are also listed under the Shelby County Gen Society books. Should you have any questions, please let me know and I'll see if I can help. Lynne K. The message I took this from is almost two years old. Is this information about joining still right? Is there any where that I can purchase a copy of Ms. Adams' book? They have it at the local Family History Center on microfilm but it is at the end of the film and I have to go through 4 other books to get to this one. Also, most of my ancestors lived in Shelby County and this has proved to be a goldmine of information for me. Thanks.
