3. Don - Sorry to be so late in responding. I have a Louisa Anna W. Vandervier b. 1853 who married George William Eisenhut on January 5, 1871. I believe they lived near Kettlersville. George Eisenhut was a brother to my great-grandmother. She lived about two miles north of Shinbone, which is in the eastern part of Washington Twp. in Auglaize County - about four miles directly east of New Knoxville. Shinbone is really just a community, and perhaps some folks consider it to include some of the northern fringe of Shelby County. Unfortunately, I have no further information about the siblings or parents of Louisa Anna W. Vandervier, but there could be a connection. She and George had seven known children, and are buried in the German Protestant Cemetery, German Twp., Auglaize Co., OH (near New Bremen). Two of their children married Schaefers. Hope this helps - let me know if you are interested in more details. 3. Joan, This helps. There is more than one Botkin seed group in neighboring counties and we have had problems with cousins getting their facts confused over the years as they assumed one Botkin was related to another. Everyone meant well I'm sure. This makes sense and helps point me in the right direction. 1. [OHSHELBY] Cemetery location
2. Mark Allen
3. Surname: BOTKIN I'm hoping for some help or advise on information on Leatherwood Creek Cemetery in Shelby Co. From what I understand it is in Greene Township and may have been founded by the Lockard Family. One of my great+grandfathers Charles Botkin died in Shelby Co. in 1820 and his Will is the first one recorded in Will Book A. We have been told he is buried there but a recent visit by a cousin living in Champaign Co. did not locate a tombstone. The cemetery may be on private property and isn't mentioned on the Shelby Co. web site list of cemeteries at all. The cemetery was found with many tombstones fallen over and the grass to tall to navigate easily. Some of Charles children were located and some Lockard names were also included. One of Charles sons, John, married Mary Lockard so this strengthens the reports that Charles himself may be there. Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain a list of names buried in this cemetery? Are there funeral home records for 1820 that I could pursue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. FYI. This Botkin group is not related to the founder of Botkins, OH. I would be delighted to share my files with anyone interested. Mark Allen

1. [OHSHELBY] PENDRAGON HOUSE, ARMITAGE, OHIO
2. Hello Lists... I am forwarding the message below in hopes that someone out there will recognize the Pendragon House/Armitage House in Armitage, Ohio and will contact Jessica with information. She has a direct link to her at the end of this email. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for reading about this. Sincerely, Kathleen Manley [email protected] I want to thank everyone so much for your information about Armitage and the Pendragon/Armitage house. I am going to give a description of the house in hopes that someone may have seen it. If you haven't, but could possibly put me in touch with ANYONE who even lives in Armitage, that would also be incredibly helpful, as I assume that those are the people who would know about this information best. The house is described thus: a big, old house that is a labyrinth of twisted passages and unexpected rooms of all sizes -- stairways leading to oddly placed wings and down into a complex and elaborate basement. At the center of the huge maze of a house is a garden (a sort of courtyard, it sounds like). If an Armitage house you know of fits this description, I would love to know about it and would also like know if I could have the opportunity to visit it. This is so helpful to our play, as the playwright was so detailed (as you have read), but left out important things like if he was telling the truth or if he was making things up. Now we are left to do the research. Thank you so much for your help, everyone! I am extremely grateful. Jessica Lynn Carroll [email protected]
