    2. John R. Clarke
    3. Yes, I am very familiar with the CROMER family, especially that of Harrison CROMER (Elnathan, Abraham) of Miami County, OH. Their descendents tied into my GROSVENOR family of Shelby County and they alter moved to Manistee, MI. I do not show a James but that does not mean there was not one. I also know that quite a few of this GROSVENOR family are buried in Houston Cemetery so there may well be a connection. I know there are GROSVENOR connections to the MILLER, HAUSER, WHITNEY, BLANCHARD, STONE and DENMAN families and these may show up in your information. John R. 1. Re: [OHSHELBY] Re: Buckey
    2. John R. Clarke
    3. I am very interested in your MILLERS. Franklin B. MILLER (1861-1933), who was a son of Isaac MILLER and Delilah KESSLER, married Catharine M. GROSVENOR in 1882 in Shelby County, OH. Catharine was the younger sister of Dr. Alvah W. GROSVENOR MD (1856-1932) of Sidney, OH. Their mother, Araminta WHITNEY, who married Hiram GROSVENOR in 1852 and a HAUSER (I think John B. HAUSER) after 1880, is buried with them in Houston Cemetery, Shelby County, OH. Araminta was the daughter of Francis T. WHITNEY and his first wife, Abigail BLANCHARD. Hiram was the son of Nathan GROSVENOR (1796-1846) and his wife, Catharine M. (who I think was a MILLER) and they migrated from Chautauqua County, NY before 1840 to Springcreek TWP and in 1844 to the Ft. Lorarmie area of McLEAN TWP, Shelby County, OH. The BLANCHARDS/WHITNEYS lived in the Oran area of Shelby County. These GROSVENORS were related to the GROSVENOR family of Troy and Piqua areas of Miami County, OH -- first cousins. Our problem is -- who was the Catharine M. (1799-1883) that married Nathan GROSVENOR about 1825 in Chautauqua County, NY. My best guess is she was a MILLER and was related to the MILLER bunch her grandchildren would marry into, later.... Catharine is buried in Paulding County, OH and Nathan is buried in Walkup Cemetery, McLean TWP, Shelby County, OH. Any information is appreciated...... John R.
