Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CYB.2ACE/430.1 Message Board Post: Hello, Ann. I do have some info for you. Benjamin Maxwell was the son of Edley and Jennie May (Hussey) Maxwell. Jennie was your Allen's sister. She was born 22 Jan 1872 in Salem Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio, died 27 Nov 1907 in Jackson Center, Jackson Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio, and is buried in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Salem Twp., Shelby Co., Ohio. She died 5 days after the birth of her son Robert E. Maxwell. He died the same day he was born. (Edley then married Gournia E. Darnell - my grandpa's half-sister - and they will have a son named Benjamin, too.) (Do you already know that your Allen's mother Mary died - from what I understand - in July 1879 in Salem Twp. and is buried in Glen Cemetery, too?) It's the Stephensons that lived near Jackson Center. The Husseys seem to reside in Salem Twp. - just south of Jackson Twp. (As per the 1880 Salem Twp. Fed. Census, James's mother Anna is still alive and still living there, too. Do you have James Hussey's parents? Or William Stephenson's first wife/Mary's mother's name? I have that info and more, if you need it, too. Let me know.) Rocky (P.S. Indian Lake is located east-northeast of Jackson Center - across the county line - in Logan Co., Ohio.)

    3. I am trying to locate a Norma Counts. She was a best friend of my grandmother Madeline Vourlas. My grandma died in 1991 and my Dad lost contact with Norma after that. I tried to look her up on the internet directory (people find) with no luck. My Dad believes that she had 2 daughters: Penny and Candy. Norma used to live outside of Sidney in a truck farm but moved into Sidney (or close by) about the time my Grandma died. He is not sure of the address other than he thought it was a new subdivision back then. If anyone knows Norma or her daughters, I would appreciate someone passing my information onto them. Also, if someone was willing to look at the Sidney directory and let me know if a Norma Counts is listed I would appreciate that. The last time I needed to locate someone in Sidney, everyone was very helpful. (I live in Florida so it's kind of hard) Thank you. Karen Kuntz Williams

    1. [OHSHELBY] look up request - birth books
    2. kjwilli5
    3. Several months ago, I asked a couple of people to look up some specific names. Now I have found some other names. If someone with the Shelby County Birth Record books would look these up, I would surely appreciate it. All have last name of RICH: May 8, 1872 - Looking for anything around this date (maybe a year sooner or later) with last name RICH. First name should be James or Bud but I am interested in ANY name with last name RICH. Sept. 3, 1876 - something like Alventa (Alberta?) or Eliz A.? Any RICH around this date I am interested in. Sept. 13, 1877 - Samuel Feb. 7, 1880 - Emma (May be a different first name - this was the name they called her). Again, anything about this time with last name RICH. Oct. 29, 1881 - Walter Sep. 1, 1883 - Harley Delphos Nov. 3, 1886 (have also seen 1883 and 1887) - Clarence All of these are supposed to be children of James and Justina (Blue) Rich. If someone happens to run across RICH children with different parents listed, I would be interested in those also. Until recently I didn't think all the RICH's in Shelby County were related to my family (what are the odds, right?) but I have found that at least 3 brothers and one sister came to Shelby County about the same time from Champaign County. So far every RICH I've found in Champaign County is related to my RICH's and it looks the same for Shelby County. Not asking for anyone to search each and every year, but if any kind person is looking for the folks listed above and find another RICH, I would appreciate that info also. Sorry for the big request but I haven't got the funds together yet to order all the different books I need. And everytime I think I have all I need from a particular book, new information comes up. If no one has time for this, I certainly understand! thanks! Karen
