Terri - in 1904-1908, that was it for children born to Sloan. And yes, Marion was a male child to R. E. and Nellie. Thanks for your offer re Ancestry - I have access, but I appreciate your offer to do lookups. No other variations of the surname Sloan that I can spot, in this book. And no daughter, Helen Mary/Mary Helen. Just to finish up for you and you can pursue any as windows, if they seem to be: In the 1880-1890 Birth Records, there is 1) Emma L. Sloan, mother and Frank Coats, father who had <child> Walter Coats, 1 Mar 1885, Washington Twp.; m; w 2) and there is Oscar B. Sloan, b 30 July 1886, Washington tp.; m; w; ch/o <child of>D. L. Sloan and Sophrina West, Washington tp. In the 1890-1904 Birth Records, there is only 1) Sloan, Elsie Harmony, b 24 Mar 1899, Turtle Creek Twp.; f; w; ch/o <child of> R. E. Sloan and Nellie Harmony, Hardin A few of the above are buried in Shelby Co. cemeteries. I don't think any other birth books have been published by the SCGS, but am not positive - I live in CA. E. and Nellie (Harmony) Sloan, b Hardin, Nov. 30, 1906 or also listed in another entry as Marion Clinton, b Nov. 30, 1905 in Turtle Creek Twp., ch/o R.
