Honey Creek Baptist Church Cem. 4 miles southwest of Bloomville, Seneca Co OH, his tombstone bears this inscription: "In Memory of John Seitz, born Oct 28, 1790 in Rockingham Co VA. Died Sept 27, 1874, aged 83 yrs. 10 mos. 23 day, He was a faithful member of the Old School Regular Baptist Church for 55 years. He died in the hope of a blessed immortality beyond the grave. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth Yea saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them.
