    1. [OHSENECA] Re: Gravesite for Orin B. FRANKFATHER
    2. For Renee A. Barton-Smith Hi Renee, If you haven't found a lead to the gravesite for Orin B. Frankfather from the obit entry in the R. B. Hayes Library Obit Index that Becky Hill cites, have you looked at the possibility of a site in Wood County, Ohio? In the 1930 Federal census I find Oren B. Frankfather living in the household of Milton J. Chilcoat with his wife Elsie L. Chilton and son James C. Chilton. Oren is listed as the father-in-law to Milton. Their home in 1930 is Tiffin City, Hopewell Township, Seneca County, OH. The same Chilton household, less Oren B. Frankfather, appears in the 1920 Federal Census, but in this earlier time the family is living in Bloomdale, Wood County, OH. In the Ohio 1910 Census Miracode Index, Orren B. Frankfather is shown as born in Bloomdale, Wood County, OH living with wife Barbara E. (Goodyear) and daughters Evangeline, Georgia and Elsia. Based on her name, age, and relation to Orren B. Frankfather, Elsia would seem to be a good bet to be the same Elsie who was the wife of Milton Chilcoat named above. In a separate FamilySearch.org record, daughter Sophia Evangeline Frankfather is shown as born in Bloomdale, Wood County, OH. With Bloomdale, Wood County, Oh appearing as a common thread in the lives of Orin B. Frankfather and at least two of his daughters, and in the absence of any information supporting a burial site for Orin B. Frankfather in Seneca County, it might be worth a look at Wood County., or possibly even Hancock County, Ohio. I note in our map of Ohio that Bloomdale , Wood County is on the border with Hancock County, and next door to Bairdstown, Wood County, where Orrin B. Frankfather was living with his parents, Albert & Martha Frankfather, and brothers Andrew J., Charles E. and Guy Frankfarther in the 1880 Federal Census. If you would like more details on any of the above, let me know. Regards, Ken Shute (kwsroots@aol.com)
