One of my Great-grt-grandmothers was a Johanna Stack, she landed at Castle Island, Brooklyn New York (pre Ellis Island) around 1849. She was about 18, she met and married a Thomas Harrington who had also just arrived in 1850 and settled in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to Derby, CT.
