PA), the probable father of the Lucy Ann Wehr mentioned in the biography of George Schock, is listed in the Lehigh County PA censuses of 1820 (Wehr), 1830 (Wiare), 1840 (Wehr). In 1850 and 1860, the Wehr family is listed in OH census for Thompson Twp., Seneca County. Evidence suggests that Philip Wehr had a grandchild named Israel Ware born in West Lodi 5-15-1843 so the family could have been in Seneca County as early as 1843. Most of the Philip Ware family, except for some women who married, left for St. Joseph County Michigan in March 1861. If you have any corrections or further information, please contact me.
