Interesting question. My Benjamin BEAR followed a simular route. His father, Samuel BEAR & family were in Seneca Co, about 1830, Benjamin is married in Allen Co IN in April 1850 and shows up in the census there in 1850 as well as in the census of Winneshick Co IA in 1850. Benjamin & Maria A. Hatch have first & third child in IA, the second in just across the line in MN.
