McClelland 20 March 1862 Seneca Co., Ohio] To the Honourable William M Clean President Judge of the Orphans Court of Adams County, Pennsylvania The petition of Henry Dittenhafer of Seneca County, Ohio respectively represents That Letters of Administration on the estate of his father, Christian Dittenhafer, late of Franklin Township Adams County aforesaid deceased, were in due form of law granted him by the Register of said county on the 22 day of August 1878. That he filed his bond which was approved and undertook the execution of the trust. That he administered the estate fully and filed his account which was confirmed by your Court on the 26th day of May 1879. That there are four children and heirs of the said Christian Dittenhafer, decd, besides himself, to wit Elizabeth, intermarried with Samuel Lohr of Franklin township [Adams Co., PA], and George Dittenhafer of Butler township Adams County [PA]: John Dittenhafer of Stark County, Ohio: and Joseph Dittenhafer of Williams County, Ohio. That the balance remaining in his hands was divided into five equal shares, and that he has paid to the other four heirs their just and full shares respectively, and taken from each of them their receipt and releases for the same, properly executed.
