Hi, John D; I haven't gone to your website but thought I'd send you my Sanford connection. My husbands ancestors were Edward and Susannah (McFarland) CASSIDY. They were the 3rd family to pioneer land in Reed Twp., Seneca Co., OH. They had a daughter, Electa Cassidy, bc1812 in Steuben Co., NY; m. c1830 to John M. Sanford in Seneca Co., OH. He was b. 1803, ?. They had (at least) 8 children: Jane,1831; John, 1834; Eliza A., 1836; Volney, 1838; Andrew J., 1840; Franklin, 1844; Cap?, 1847; and Electa, 1849. History of Seneca Co.: John Sanford came to this county in 1827; his younger brother, Andrew, in 1830 (I wonder if he was in time for the wedding?) John M. Sanford had 2 land entries: e. 1/2 n.e. 1/4 sec. 26, March 2, 1829; and w. 1/2 n.e. 1/4 sec. 26, July 28, 1828. I have more on Electa, who is sister to my ancestor, Nancy Cassidy.
