A researcher sent me the following on my Burrier research. I have been trying to learn more on Philip Burrier and Mary Keens that came from Maryland in a wagon with their children to Seneca Co. One child was born to them after they were in Ohio, rest in MD. My question is the FOSTORIA, OHIO. I always thought they lived in Tiffin / Old Fort area. Was the census listed correctly as location? Any info on family would be appreciated...................Susan Burrier Snyder
Hello Susan; Fostoria is listed as the closest post office at the top left side of the census sheet for Liberty Township. If I remember correctly, half of Fostoria is in Seneca County, and the other half is in Hancock or Wood County. Liberty Township is Northwest of Tiffin and East- Northeast of Fostoria. I hope this will help you. John C.
