She died in 1913 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. She married Milton MELLEN, and they lived on a farm near Attica, Seneca Co. Ohio. Their daughter, Eliza Ann MELLEN, was my grandmother, she married John Sanford of Reed Twp. Seneca Co. SECOND GENERATION 2. Samuel CROXTON was born on February 19, 1797 in Virginia. He died on August 3, 1863 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. He has reference number PT3R-BM. He was buried in Attica-Venice Cemetery. Attica, OH. He was married to Eliza WARD on January 1, 1818 in Stark Co. OH. 3. Eliza WARD was born in 1798 in Jefferson Co. OH. She was 1870 census, "72 yr. age, born in PA." in 1870 in Reed Twp. Seneca Co. OH. She died in 1875 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. She was buried in 1875 in Attica-Venice Cemetery. Attica, OH. Samuel CROXTON and Eliza WARD had the following children: i. Jane CROXTON was born in 1818 in Columbiana Co. OH. ii. William CROXTON was born in 1819 in Columbiana Co. OH. iii. Mary Ann CROXTON was born in 1821 in Columbiana Co. OH. 1 iv. Lydia CROXTON. v. James CROXTON was born in 1825 in Columbiana Co. OH. vi. Philip Ward CROXTON was born in 1826 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. He died in December 1907 in Whitley Co. IN. vii. Elizabeth CROXTON was born in 1828 in Ohio. viii. Rebecca CROXTON was born in 1830 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. ix. John CROXTON was born on January 15, 1832 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. He died on March 29, 1850 in Attica, OH. x. Ambrose (Amby) CROXTON was born in 1834 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. xi. Samuel CROXTON Jr. was born in 1836 in Attica, Seneca Co. OH. He was well educated, (taught school many terms) before 1860 in attended Antioch College, Ohio. He was a Teacher, a Miller, served as Lieut. in Civil War, discharged as surgeon in July 1865 in Louisville, KY. He died in 1906 in Kingfisher, OK. THIRD GENERATION 4. William CROXTON was born on April 10, 1768 in West Chester, PA. He was buried in 1842 in Monroeville Area Cemetery, Jefferson Co. OH. He died on April 7, 1842 in Carroll Co. OH. He has reference number PT3R-89. He was married to Mary GAMBLE on March 17, 1794 in Washington, PA. He was divorced from Mary GAMBLE in October 1817 in Columbiana Co. OH. 5. Mary GAMBLE was born about 1776 in Brooke Co. VA. William CROXTON and Mary GAMBLE had the following children: i. Elizabeth CROXTON was born on February 4, 1795 in VA.. 2 ii. Samuel CROXTON. iii. Abraham CROXTON was born on September 2, 1798. He died on October 15, 1856 in Jefferson Co. Ohio. iv. William CROXTON was born on June 29, 1800. He died on January 24, 1889 in Butler Co. Kansas. v. Lydia CROXTON was born on April 7, 1802. vi. John G. CROXTON was born on October 29, 1804 in VA. He was buried in March 1894 in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tuscarawas Co, OH. He died on March 11, 1894 in Dover, Ohio. vii. Mary Jane CROXTON was born on March 27, 1807. She died on September 22, 1886. 6. Philip WARD was born in 1776 in Wardsville, PA (now Eldersville). He died in 1863 in Carrolltown, OH. He was married to Catherine MCGUIRE about 1796 in Jefferson Co. OH. 7. Catherine MCGUIRE died in Carroll Co. OH.
