I live in Belgium in the city of Waregem. In our city is the US Military Cemetery Flanders Field. This is a cemetery with soldiers of World War 1. As I am interested in the history of World War 1, I got the idea of writing a book about those soldiers, who gave their lives for our freedom. I think that would be a nice tribute to them. Of course I need a lot of searching work to do about their lives and I am also looking for (copies of) photos of them . So, why am I writing this letter to you ? One of the soldiers buried here is Lew Miller. His mother lived in 243 W High Street, Fostoria. Lew died of pneumonia November 1, 1918, ten days before the end of the war. Could you help me with some information/picture about him or addresses of relatives? Perhaps his dead was announced in the newspapers of November or December 1918 or sometimes a Roll of Honour book of the county with pictures of the soldiers has been made. Thank you very much in advance Patrick Lernout Drafstraat 15 8790 waregem Belgium patrick.lernout@pandora.be *********** END FORWARDED MESSAGE ***********
