He was always known as Edward Harrison, but the 1870 Ohio Census shows him listed as Eugene Harrison. Mother is Margaret Watchier Harrison; father is John S. Harrison. I believe he was born in 1867 or so. Birth certificates would have been available then, but the Probate Court cannot find any birth certificate for him. The family never knew what happened to him. There is an E.E. Harrison buried in the family plot, and I suspect it's he. Possibly Edward Eugene or Eugene Edward. No dates available. If it's he, then it doesn't look like he ever married because there are no other Harrisons there, other than his mother. His father, John S., supposedly abandoned the family at some point and was never heard from again. I'd like to look for him, but I don't know where or how. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanx! Jane S. >> Hi Jane, I checked our Seneca County, Ohio Marriages, 1841-1899, by Seigley, for Edward/Eugene, Austin and Minnie HARRISON without success. They also did not appear in our other Seneca County publications except for what I sent you earlier. This is a real stretch, but I did find some HARRISONs with these same names in three adjoining Ohio counties not far from Seneca County. They may not be yours, but here they are: From Ancestry.Com: The 1889-1890 and 1890-1891 Directories for Toledo (Lucas County) Ohio lists a Eugene E. HARRISON at 125 Superior (Street?) with the occupation of "fish" (fisherman?). Ancestry.Com also lists the marriage of an Edward E. HARRISON and an Emma LEIBERMANN on 30 Oct 1887 in Ottawa County, Ohio. This same marriage can also be found in the online IGI web site www.familysearch.org. Finally, the online IGI web site lists the marriage of an Austin K. HARRISON to a Sarah C. HULL on 29 Dec 1875 in Wood County, Ohio. Regards, Ken Shute
