    2. In a message dated 3/16/01 4:45:51 PM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: << Subj: Re Adams Township Date: 3/16/01 4:45:51 PM Eastern Standard Time From: [email protected] (J Barnes) To: [email protected] I have a gg grandfather, Ephriam Hastings, in Adams Twp on 1830 Census, living near Green Parker. Since Ephriam married a Sarah Parker(1825 in Huron Co.) I would like to find a way to connect them. Any info on the Parkers and who Sarah belongs to would be much appreciated. They left the Hastings family group living in Groton Township, Erie Co to move to Seneca so it makes sense it was to be near her family but I have no proof of that. Julie Hastings Barnes >> Hi Julie, I couldn't find much on your Sarah PARKER in our Seneca County, OH publications, but I did find some information on Ephraim HASTINGS, mostly at www.ancestry.com. You may be aware of some or all of this, but I pass it on for what it's worth. If the Ephraim in these sightings is the same as yours, he must have been a fast mover. In ancestry.com there is a record of DAR lineage for a Mrs. Grace Hastings Sharp, including Ephraim HASTINGS and Sara PARKER, which I repeat below: The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Volume 120 page 209 Mrs. Grace Hastings Sharp. DAR ID Number: 119672 Born in Parkertown, Ohio. Wife of Dallas L. Sharp. Descendant of Hon. John Hastings, as follows: 1. Waitstill Green Hastings (1826-92) m. 1849 Nancy Elizabeth Hannum (1828-1909). 2. Ephraim Hastings (1803-84) m. 1825 Sarah Parker (1806-1900). 3. Waitstill Hastings (1771-1860) m. 1801 Lucinda Wood. 4. John Hastings m. 1764 Content Little (1740-1829). John Hastings (1738-1811) for twenty-eight years gave civil service. During the Revolution he was a member of the Senate and served as State councilor. He was born at Colchester, Conn.; died in Hatfield, Mass. Also No. 68651. I find Waitstill G. HASTINGS buried in Oakland Cemetery, Perkins Twp, Erie County, OH. The inscription is found on page 465 of our Erie County, OH Cemetey Census before 1909. Details: Edith M. HASTINGS 1864-1893. Elizabeth HASTINGS 1828-1907. Infant HASTINGS, Int. Nov. 25, 1871, 1 mo. c/o L. Waitstill G. HASTINGS 1826-1892. Also, in ancestry.com, Ephraim HASTINGS appears in the 1840 Federal Census for Sandusky County, OH, York Twp, as well as in the 1830 Federal Census for Seneca County, OH, Adams Twp. I could not find Ephraim HASTINGS in our 1850 Census for Sandusky County, OH. Finally, in ancestry.com, in Ohio land records, Ephraim HASTINGS is shown owning property as follows: Name: Ephraim HASTINGS. Land Office: Bucyrus (Crawford County) Documents: 6640, 6693, 9759. Dates: 1834/09/30, 1834/0930,1835/05/07. Twp: 4N (for all three). Range: 17E (for all three). Section: 3, 3, 4. Acres: 80, 40, 40. Hope some of this may help. Regards, Ken Shute
