I am searching for information about the MYERS family that lived in and around Republic in Adams Township from about 1845 to at least 1900. I have an article about the suicide of Jonas Myers, the brother of my ancestor, Nathan Myers. Our Myers' were part of the Lehigh County, PA to Seneca County, OH migration. Nathan and Leah Myers moved to Seneca County about 1845. They were in Thompson Township on the 1850 census. Nathan and Leah moved to Allen County, IN between 1850 and 1860. Nathan's brother, Jonas, remained in Seneca County. I'm also interested in finding out who the parents and siblings of CATHARINE ("KATE") WHITEMAN are. Kate married Israel Myers in Allen County, IN, in 1874. The census records say she was born in Ohio. I'm assuming her family moved to Allen County from Seneca County, too, but that's only an assumption at this point. If anyone can help me, I'd be very, very grateful. Karen
