    1. [OHSENECA] Re: CATLETT, KELLY
    2. For Martha McLean (mcleangm@olympus.net). This refers to your 2/19/03, same subject. Hello Martha, Unfortunately, I could find nothing specific that definitely relates to your Hattie Catlett, but I did find some information that relates to the three you named as her daughters: Sarah Emilene Kelly, Mayme Kelly, and Susie Florence Kelly. In checking Ancestry.com's Federal census records for 1920 & 1930, I found that Sarah listed the birthplace of both her father and mother as Virginia, while Mayme & Susie each named the birthplace of both their parents as Ohio. This would seem to imply that Sarah had a different mother and father than Mayme and Susie. Here are the details from the actual census page images: 1. 1920 Census. Read name, relation, age, place of birth, father's place of birth, mother's place of birth: Louis P. Bormuth, head, 52, PA, "at sea," OH. Sara E.Bormuth, wife, 49, OH, VA, VA. The index for the 1920 census shows Louis P. Bormuth & family residing in Ward Twp, Burke County, North Dakota. ( I didn't find this family in the 1930 census.) 2. 1930 Census Dorsey Day, head, 46, OH, OH, OH. Mame E. Day, wife, 45, OH, OH, OH. The Index for the 1930 census shows Dorsey Day & family residing in Liberty Twp, Seneca County, Ohio. (I didn't find this family in the 1920 census.) 3. 1920 Census Arlington D. Feasel, head, 39, OH, OH, OH. Susie F. Feasel, wife, 31, OH, OH, OH. The Index for the 1920 census shows Arlington Feasel & family residing in Adams Twp, Seneca County, Ohio. 4. Family Group Record for Louis Peter Bormuth family, from www.familysearch.com. Husband: Louis Peter Bormuth Born: 5 Jun 1868, Tiffin, OH Died: Jun 1943 Married: 29 Dec 1892 Father: Adam Bormuth Wife: Sarah Emmaline Kelley Born: 2 Apr 1872 (Tiffin, OH) Died: 25 Jun 1957 Married 29 Dec 1892. Children: Three listed as "Living." Ruth, b. 1 Feb 1913 (Tiffin, OH); d. 24 Jan 1948. Myrtle Frances, b. 1 Jul 1893, Tiffin, OH; d. 1 Mar 1952 Bowbells, Ward, North Dakota. Leora, b. Finally, I found a few references to a Hettie/Hester/Hattie Catlett, with a birth year and family ties to the state of Virginia, that might fit your Hattie Catlett, but nothing definite to prove that she's your Hattie Catlett. a. Husband: Emanuel Catlett Birth: 1825, Frederick, Virginia Marriage: 5 Feb 1847, Frederick, Virginia Death: Before 1880, Belmont, Ohio Wife: Frances or Fannie Kerns Birth: 11 Aug 1823, Frederick, Virginia Marriage: 5 Feb 1847, Frederick, Virginia Death: Belmont, Ohio Children: Franklin A., b. 1847, Frederick, Virginia Hester A., b. 1849, Frederick, Virginia Nathan, b. 1858, Frederick, Virginia. c. From www.AncestorInfo.com This site lists old items (photographs, postcards, letters, etc.) in their database. Incuded in the list was a "Photo of a lady. Photographer was Davis in Fredericksburg and Richmond, VA. Name is handwritten on the back." The name given was: "Hattie Catlett Burke." It was listed as dating to the "late 1800's?" Hope this information doesn't muddy the waters further. Regards, Ken Shute (kwsroots@aol.com).
