They had five children all born in Tiffin. Gottleib Phillip Weick 01/30/1854, Maria Louisa Weick 10/24/1855, Juliana Magdalena Weick 04/04/1857, Michael Weick 09/29/1858 and Charles John Weick ( John Charles Weick) my grandfather, 10/10/1865. It is believed he was farmer as he was listed as a farmer and blacksmith in later census. It is unknown where they entered the US. There is no record that they came through Ellis Island. 3. Cindy, The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library, 77 Jefferson Street, has an excellent genealogy section with (among other valuable records) the Ohio Census on microfilm and Ohio Cenus indexes for 1820-1860 and 1880 plus 1870 Clinton Twp (not Tiffin); all Tiffin newspapers on microfilm with births and deaths being indexed as well as some other limited indexes from those newspapers; Seneca Co Marriage Records and Index on microfilm, 1841-1983, Birth Records and Index, 1867-1909 and Death Records and Index, 1867-1909; and the book "Seneca County Cemetery Inscriptions" as well as many other misc. gen. records too lenghty to list here. You can spend days there without covering all the materials that are available. Within walking distance of the library are the Probate Court , 108 Jefferson Street; Health Dept., 71 S. Washington St. and the Recorder's Office, 109 S. Washington St. Contact me directly if you would like a scanned copy of a map showing the location of these places for research. Pam par3@sc.rr.com

I'm replying just in case no one else replies before you leave tomorrow. St. Joseph's Cemetery is on South Washington Street (Rt. 231). I'm not sure how you would go if you come into the town on Rt. 101, but if you come on Rt. 53 when you get into downtown area you will encounter one-way streets running east and west. I believe E. Perry Street runs west and E. Market Street runs east. You want to go EAST on E. Market Street to Washington Street turning south (RIGHT) onto Washington St. As you travel along S. Washington Street through a nice old, residential section of Tiffin you will come to St. Joseph's on the RIGHT. Perhaps, soneone who lives in Tiffin can confirm these directions and tell you if coming in on Rt. 101 would be easier. Hope this helps and have a safe trip.
