I was able to find some relatives and have printed a copy of their gravestone. The name I was looking for is "Lavo." I notice that there are flowers on this particular stone so assume someone cares for it. John Lavo and my grandmother were first cousins--my great-grandmother and John's father were brother and sister. I live in WI and have inherited a box of pictures, many of which are unidentified. One of the pictures was taken in Tiffin, and I am presuming it is of a Lavo relative--perhaps Jeanette. Would you by any chance have any idea if there are Lavo family members still living in the Ft. Seneca/Tiffin area? I would like to get in touch with them and perhaps scan some pictures to them for possible identification. If you don't know them, would you know of someone who does? Thank you for any help you can give me. Carole Evans _________________________________________________________________ online games and music with a high-speed Internet connection! Hello As We in the USA celebrate Veterans Day I would like to say just a few words to all our veterans and fallen heroes on the Battlefields across the World. Thank you for all you do and have done for this country and for others. I have ancestors that served both Great Britain and the United States and I am very proud of my heritage. Here is a list of my ancestors that served. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~geyerseybold/folder/MilitaryService.html Thanks Dan Geyer -- Daniel J. Geÿer Esq.

For Ernestine Wark. Hi Ernestine, I found only two items that might relate to your John Mathias and Margaret Lucius: 1. Family Search's online IGI Individual Record. Margaret Lucius, born 20 Jul 1851. Parents: Louis Lucius, Father Catherine Werling, Mother Married John Mathias, 20 Apr 1875, Frenchtown, Seneca, OH 2. Ancestry.Com's 1880 Census Burwick, Seneca Twp, Seneca County, OH, taken 7 Jun 1880 Read name, age, relation, occupation (if applicable), place of birth, Father's POB, Mother's POB: John Mathias, 26, (head), keeping (saloon?), OH, Germany, Germany Margaret, 27, wife, keeping house, Germany, Germany, Germany Josephine, 6, daughter, OH, OH, Germany Louis, 8, son, OH, OH, Germany Henry, 12, son, OH, OH, Germany. (Note: There may be some doubt about this latter item since the ages given for the three children indicate a birth year prior to 1875, when you --- and item 1 above-- give a marriage year of 1875 for John and Margaret.) Following the line of Louis Lucius, I find, in another of Family Search's IGI Individual Records: Louis Lucius: Birth: 1 Feb 1819, Sass., Luxembourg, Belgium Death: 28 Oct 1877, Toledo, Lucas, Ohio Burial: Frenchtown, Seneca, Ohio, St. Nicholas Cemetery Parents: Father: Joseph Lucius; Mother: Catherine Mortrier Married: Catherine Werling, 15 Feb 1849, Luxembourg, Belgium. I have tried the Seneca County Library in Tiffin to no avail. There is no record of her birth. Her father reportedly was Reuben Drinkwater, though her obituary states Reul Drinkwater. I am looking to clear up this confusion factor. Everything I have so far points to Reuben as her father. The birth record would help clear things up. Thank you. Dear Bonnie, I know that the Faloon line started in Columbiana County, Ohio very early in the 1800's. My cousin's husband's line. Thanks to all of you who responded to my plea for help locating a # for the Cemetery office. I now have 4 different #'s, so one of them must work or at least lead me to a living person that can direct me. I appreciate everyone's efforts on my behalf. Pat in Indiana
