    3. Dear list members, Yesterday I received an e-mail from Ancestry.com that was quite disturbing to me and which I think you should be aware of, in case you are thinking of taking out a membership. It contained the following two paragraphs: (1.)On 7/26/00 we will automatically renew your Annual membership for another year unless you tell us otherwise. You will be charged the low membership rate of $59.95. (2.)Information related to your account is found at http://www.ancestry.com/help/member/myaccount.htm. Please take a moment to ensure that your personal contact information and credit card number are valid. It is important that we have a current credit card on file so you don't experience an interruption in your service. If this information is up-to-date and you wish to continue your membership, no action is required on your part. When I called them today to cancel my membership, I told the lady that I thought that automatic renewal was a bad policy. She informed me that I had agreed to this when I joined. READ ALL SUCH AGREEMENTS CAREFULLY! Due to concerns over the possibility of hackers obtaining it, I have never given out my credit card number on-line, so I also told her I thought it was wrong of them to post it and other personal information on-line, even though it was protected by a user name and password. She replied that they had not posted the information, and that I had posted it myself, when I joined. This is not true, since I joined by phone, not by e-mail. Please forgive me, if you think this is not a proper posting to the list, but I just thought list members should be aware of the practices of this company. Jim Davis

    3. Dear Rebecca, Sorry, but neither Martin Fiant nor Foster Cemetery is mentioned in the Seneca County cemetery inscriptions book. They must have been in the Hancock County or Wood County parts of Fostoria. Jim Davis in Wenatchee, WA "R. C. Huddle" wrote: > > Hello, > > Thurs. I visited Fountain Cem., Fostoria, Oh. 1. TOUGHMAN
    2. Ann & George Brickner
    3. Does anyone know anything about Peter TOUGHMAN who was in Clinton Twp., Seneca County from 1823 to at least 1832? He married Ann "Nancy" EARL in Ross County 3 Feb 1814 and moved to Clinton Twp., Seneca Co. 1823. The 1830 Clinton Twp census lists 2 sons and 3 daughters. Nov 1828 they sold 33 acres to James EARL and Nov 1831, they sold 65 acres and 32 acres to Christian RANSBURGH. By 1850 they were in District No. 9, Carroll County, Indiana (probably near Delphi) where Peter died. His will was probated 23 August 1858. We are researching the TOUGHMAN family and believe Peter to be of a family from Huntindon / Centre counties, PA or possibly another from Juniata Co., PA. Would be happy to share info. Can anyone help? Thanks. Ann Brickner [email protected]

    3. According to the info at http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html Rock Run cemetery is not listed in Seneca Co., but there is one in Wyandot Co, just 4-5 miles east of Upper Sandusky. There is no Sandy Ridge cemetery listed in OH, but a search for Sand Ridge shows a cemetery almost exactly halfway between Tiffin and Fostoria. Try the above website for maps and aerial photos of both places. 2. JoAnn, Rock Run Cemetery is in Eden Township on Twp. Rd. 17 in the northern part of the township, in Section 4. Sandridge Cemetery is in Hopewell Township. It is just south of Bascom, at the very edge of the town, on County Road 7. I hope this helps. Don Rogier
