    3. There are many county and city directories in the Tiffin Seneca Public Library. My memory says that they are from the mid 1800's to present. Don't hold me to that first date. As far as I know they are not on microfilm. Contact the library at 77 Jefferson St., Tiffin, OH 44883. 3. There are a number of Tiffin City Directories, Fostoria, and Seneca County Directories available at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library. There are also a number of them at the Seneca County Museum. More Fostoria Directories can be found at the library in Fostoria, and some can be found in Findlay as well. The earliest one I have ever seen for Tiffin is 1867. The Mormons have microfilmed an enormous number of City & County directories as well. These microfilm rolls can be rented or purchased from them through their Family History Center, which is based in Salt Lake City. Most major libraries nationwide have access to their catalog. 3. Posted on: Seneca Co. Oh Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Oh/Seneca/69 Surname: MARX, THEISEN, HOFFMANN ------------------------- I am researching my Luxembourg ancestors and relatives in Seneca County,Ohio. In 1847 Nicholas HOFFMANN, his wife, Elisabeth, nee THEISEN, and Elizabeth's uncle, Nicholas MARX and his wife Theresa emigrated from Meysembourg, Luxembourg to Seneca County, Ohio. In the mid 1850's the Hoffmann's and Theisen's moved west to central Minnesota. Nicholas MARX, his wife Theresa and children remained in Seneca County as part of the Luxembourg community there. Many of their sacramental church records are at St. Boniface Church in New Riegel, Ohio. I would like to contact descendants of Nicholas and Theresa Marx. I have much ancestral information which I am willing to share.

    3. Hi Marilyn, I decided to reply off the list. I have your people and this particular lineage is a major mess. You are descended from John George Kistler of Berks Co., PA. I am descended from him also and his children are a big problem. My preference would be to send you a GEDCOM with all that I have on this line, correct and incorrect. As you probably already know, the Kistlers have been widely published on the Internet and some of the data is very very poor. Please contact me off list at my e-mail address. I tried to contact you off list but your address came back as 'unknown'. Please let me know in what fashion you would like the information to come to you. I'm always happy to share because many many others have shared with me. When your Kistlers were in Seneca County, they appear to have been perhaps cousins of my line but definitely the same line. I shall look forward to hearing from you. Ellen I Weber

    3. Marilyn, I have many Kistlers, including a few unconnected Franks and a Marion. This line came to Seneca county about 1830 and married into most of the early German families there. It would help immeasurably if you would include some dates and any other information you may have. I'll be happy to share with anyone interested in this early Seneca County family.
