dan, could you tell me who wrote the book "history of seneca co. 1830-1880" I would like to try and find it to search for my dead end, Margaret Elizabeth McClure b. in 1830 in WV, however it states in her short obit, that she moved to Ohio "at an early age" where she married Spencer Armstrong Francis, 4-27-1852 in Tiffin, Seneca Co. Ohio. I thought maybe there would be McClures or Francis' listed during this time period. kathy, I didn't happen to find any Frazier/Frasier's in your Seneca history but wanted to take the time to tell you what an awesome job you have done. Thank you very much for your efforts! karen Branning
Kris and Dan, I think you, Kris, did a great job with the scanning of that Seneca County History. It was viewed very easily and it was easy to get around in it. I would like to ask a favor of Dan. I checked the index of Kris' History but found no mention of any FREED/FRIEDs. Would you be willing check your histories (if they have indexes) and see if this name is mentioned? I know my ggggrandfather was founder of a church in Tiffin (where my ggrandmother was born); so, I think there might be some information there. Thank you both for your efforts and your help! Hi Kris, I grew up in Seneca County (Watson Station) My mother recently gave me a thick Book The History of Seneca County (@1830s to 1880s) and another two volume book set of the history of Seneca County (written in 1911). The two-book set actually went through the great flood of 1913. My great Grandfather was the Sheriff of Tiffin then. Each book has a lot of info in them...looks similar to the centenial book you just scanned. Do you know of any more printed documents on Seneca County, Watson Station or Pleasant Township? My relatives lived in Adams Township, Scipio, and then Pleasant, We lived in the old General Store in Watson Station (18 years or so-mid 50s til early 70s- until I moved to California). Not many folks have any info on the Oakleaf Family name (it was translated from Eichenlaub for most of them when they came from Germany/France in the 1850s). Can anyone help find any info for me? Surprisingly, the History of Seneca County doesn't say much at all about my family (except for my mother's side of the family - Reif). Hi all! Well I took a "day off" today. I sat at this puter for TWELVE hours scanning in pages to the book. Well the file just got too big. I started with page 257 and have a up to page 499 all online now. The problem is I had to break it into two "Volumes" so to speak. so the first Volume pages 1-436 at at: http://www.zing.com/album/?id=4293546123&code=611445&mode=invite and Volume Two pages 437 and on are at: http://www.zing.com/album/?id=4293470677&code=659336&mode=invite I also included all the index pages there at Volume Two so you would not have to jump back to the other site for that.. Someone asked for Big Springs Twp map, don't know why I never put that up. So I am off to do that now... am a bit weary of the Seneca book (for some reason...grin) By the way, I updated my "link" page listed below. Has music..Check it out. Hello List: I just found a reference on ancestry.com under "Ohio Military Men 1917-1918". It listed a Vernard E. Kingree born Shenandoah Co., VA in 1892. He enlisted in the National Guard of Tiffin, Ohio in July, 1913 and was discharged in 1918. I have been researching the Kingree's of Shenandoah Co for quite awhile now, and cannot place this Vernard Kingree b. 1892. May I ask you all to use your various reference books for marriage, birth, death, cemeteries, etc., to look up the surname KINGREE? I would appreciate any information at all, since this is the only reference I have for him. Sincerely, Pamela (Kingree) Moats Daytona, FL
Hi all! Just finished adding a couple more things to the Seneca Co. USGenWeb page. Seneca Co. Marriages & Seneca Co. Cemetery records have been added to the lookups list. A link to Kris Kuhn's newest scanned family history (Houk Family) has been added, as well as updating links to her other pages that she had to re-do. A few days ago I added a couple of new obituaries (Feasel, Smothers, & Taylor) and a newspaper article under the surname Motry to the Family page. To see any or all, just click on the link to the page listed below in my signature line. Alice USGenWeb CC for Seneca Co. OH http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohseneca/seneca.html Listmom for OHSENECA-L

thanks much. Pat
There's a Wickwire house here in Jackson Co, MI - somehow was affiliated with are near our community college. You may want to look at records for Jackson Co - not too far from the other southern MI counties which have been mentioned.
Would you happen to have any info on WICKWIRE moving to that area of Michigan. Sorry, I don't have any dates, I am just starting out on my family 'digging'. Thank you so very much. Patricie Briggs, Wickwire was my maternal grandpa........
Wendy, I'm sorry, I do not have any of your names. The information that I gave is the only CLARK people that I have and wanted to find more about them. I have no idea if this is your William or not. PLEASE, could we try to do these lookups privatly ? I don't want to mix up Michigan with this great Ohio list, and take up space.
