I found his death notice at the library in Portsmouth. It was in a book of Translated German death notices. One of the librarians told me there used to be a German and an English newspaper in Portsmouth. If you contacted the Scioto County Ohio Genealogy Department or the Portsmouth Library they may be able to help you. I haven't been able to find anything online for research on the subject.
