Although the 1900 census gives Charles Swank's birthplace as OH, the 1910 census gives it as WV. Also the death certs. of a couple of Charles' children (on-line for free at familysearch.org) give Charles' birthplace as WV. 1900 Scioto Co. Rush Twp. census says Charles was b. April 1874 so perhaps you can find him in WV on the 1880 census if you haven't already checked there. Ancestry shows that Charles and Myrtle married in Gallia Co. OH 22 Sep 1899.
