Mary was born September 8, 1926 in Lucasville, Scioto County Ohio to the late Arthur and Avanell (Days)Wagner. She retired from Mercy Memorial Hospital of Urbana, and she was a member of the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union. She married Dale Canter June 12, 1946; he preceded her in death December 7, 2004. Mary is survived by daughters; Bernice (Tim) Starbuck, of Newport, TN., Edna (Sherman) McKellop of Urbana, Irene Renie Newland of Springfield, Mary Ann (Dewey) Casto of Urbana, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers; Bill (Ethel) Wagner of Urbana, Arthur E. Wagner of Marysville, OH., sisters; Betty (Bob) Magill of Blanchester, OH., and Roberta Shields of Springfield, several nieces and nephews. Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Canter, brothers; Joe and David Wagner. Family to receive friends Monday, February 25, 2008 from 4 to 8pm in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME 2425 N. Limestone St.; where funeral service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, February 24, 2008. Pastor David Vanhoose and Pastor Tom Amlin co-officiating the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Springfield.
