To the List: Most of our ancestors came to Ohio from further east, many from Massachusetts in colonial days. I have acquired the following reference material that was very helpful to me in identifying some of my early people and I am willing to do lookups. There are a few for Connecticut, as well. The source is called "Notes from 'Planters of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 1620-1640,'" by Charles Edwards Banks. The names are alphabetized by last name, head of family first. Some contain more information than others, but I found many gems. The information tells to what town in the colonies the immigrants were going, and usually where they were from in England. The time frame is limited, only 1620 to 1640, but there is some information I have not found elsewhere. Example: Marvin, Matthew, age 45, Hartford, CT, arrived 1635 on "Increase," from Bentley Magna, Essexshire Marvin, Mrs. Elizabeth, age 31, Hartford, CT, arrived 1635 on "Increase." Marvin, Matthew Jr., age 8, Hartford, CT, arrived 1635 on "Increase. Marvin, Mary, age 6 " " " Marvin, Sarah, age 3, " " " " Marvin, Hannah, age 6 months, " " " " Kathy Gire, Granite Bay, California email: _Kabumpo16@aol.com_ (mailto:Kabumpo16@aol.com) Researching in Scioto County: COLE, HAYWARD, ORM(E), HUSTON **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget?
