Would you know if Dewey had Weaver relatives that lived in the Rarden, Ohio area at one time? Let me give you some details and run them by him. My great-great grandparent's were Henry and Elizabeth ( nee Wright ) Weaver. Henry was born about 1818 and died in 1896. He is buried in Locust Grove Cemetery in Adams County. His children were: 1.)Francis Marion Weaver married to Mary Cox. They were my great grandparent's. Francis Marion was killed in a train wreck involving two trains, in Rarden. He was pinned between both trains. This was in 1893. He and Mary are buried in Newman Cemetery in Rarden. He was born in 1841. His children were Alonzo Weaver, married to Minnie Bell Lewis. They had a boy named Dorris, who was hit by a train and killed in the early 1900's. Ada Weaver, married to Ott Kisling, both buried in Locust Grove Cemetery in Adams County. Roy Weaver, my grandfather, married to Ethel McCann. Roy was a minister and started the Rarden Nazarene Church that is still in operation today. It's on the main strip in Rarden. He also started a Nazarene church that is located in Portsmouth, not far from the Ohio River. Continuing on with Francis Marions siblings: 2.) George Washington Weaver, married to Zalona Penn. They are buried in Newman Cemetery. 3.) Mary Weaver, married to J. W. (John) McCormick. Moved to Desoto County, Florida and are buried there. 4.) Sarah Jane Weaver, married Dr. H. S. (Harvey)Wamsley. Both buried in Locust Grove Cemetery. 5.) Henry Woodrow "Woody" Weaver, married Martha Garrison. They are buried in Newman Cemetery. My dad was Paul Weaver, born in Rarden, then lived in Portsmouth and West Portsmouth. I was born and raised in Portsmouth, Scioto County. Who were Dewey's parent's and where did they live when he was born? What year was he born? I've got other names that I can throw out to you, but they would have been my great-great Uncle's and Aunt's children. ( The ones I mentioned above.) ANYTHING you can find out for me would be a great help! Another cousin, whom I found online several years ago, have the only Weaver's left in our family, that we know of. We each thought our own imediate families were the only Weaver's left. So, we're desperate to find relatives. You can email me directly at: cresiezoe@aol.com I'm anxious to hear back from you!
