In 1860 the ferry was owned and operated by Alexander K. Thompson and his wife Nancy D. (Bagby) Thompson and their son, Robert B. Thompson. In 1864, they sold the ferry operation to John McAllister and his wife, Catherine S. (Bagby) McAllister, a niece of Nancy (Bagby) Thompson. Other than these simple facts, I know little else about the ferry. Would like to know the years of operation, other owners, and any other facts.
