Little Miami Publishing Company HEID, KARL-3 May 1895 Died at his residence in Pleasant Valley in Clay Township on Thursday of the previous week; 69 years old; he was born in Gengenbach, Baden and at the beginning of the 1850's emigrated here with his family; he had been employed in the garden and field business; he has been sick for many years and was, therefore, not well known except for his neighbors; on the day before his death he was taken so sick that he was confined to bed; besides his widow, he leaves 9 children, of whom 3 daughters live here (Mrs. John Welty, Mrs. Joseph Franz and Mrs. Frank Montavon); the funeral was on Saturday morning in St. Mary's Church by Father Nonnen.
