    3. Carol, I agree wholeheartedly.... I've seen too many errors passed on and on because no one verifies the information. I tend to use what I get online as a starting point to find the original documentation. I like the original documentation. Can't get it changed but everyone who checks that surname will be looking for things that do not exist...that family didn't arrive in the U.S. until 1815 or after! Just thougth I would mention that original sources are the best when it comes to genealogy and documenting anything anyone gives you is a good idea.
