This is getting even more interesting. I was intrigued to see the marriage of Mary M. Orms to Wm. Briggs occurred the very same day that Wm. Barber and Caroline Cole married. My Coles and Orm (Orme) lines merged in 1848 when William Creighton Cole married Rhoda E. Orm, also in December. They are my great, great grandparents. I have been researching both the Coles and Orms for a while now. It is believed that the names Orm and Orme were originally "Arms" in England. I won't even mention that the next generation, one of William and Rhoda's children married a Briggs! (My maiden name is Briggs.) If anyone else is working on these lines, I would love to share notes.
