I received a message that quite disturbed me, and I finally went and checked it out. If you have a family tree on Ancestry's One World Tree project, they are going to begin charging $49.95/yr to view this information. I don't know about you, but I'm not happy with someone selling my work to someone else. I have since removed any information I have ever submitted to Ancestry. I'm going to do more research to see if they plan to use information posted to Rootsweb... if so, I may pull my information from there as well. Laura
This is not entirely true. The family trees at rootsweb and ancestry will continue to be free. This a new servce that will merge records with family trees uploaded to the site.
