BALMERT, of the firm of Stanton & Balmert, and Miss LOUISE F. KRICKER, last Thursday evening, was one of the most brilliant affairs the people of Portsmouth have witnessed for some time. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Noonsau, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, at eight o'clock in the evening, the church being crowded and overflowing. Not even standing room was to be found. The grooms in attendance were Mr. JOHN GALLAGHER, of Ironton, and Mr. WILL MEYER of Portsmouth. The bridesmaids were Misses ELLA KELLEY and SUSIE HAWK, two of the fair daughters of our city. After the ceremony was performed the many invited guests adjourned to the residence of Mr. MATHIAS KRICKER, father of the bride, where a sumptuous repast was spread for the occasion, the chief steward being Col. WILLIAM HUGHES. Pabst's orchestra was in attendance after the supper, furnishing music for all, and the young folks kept them in constant employ until the small hours of morning. The happy couple left on the Bostona for Cincinnati, and thence to St. Louis, on their bridal tour.
