Hello Dear Scioto List, I am Nola (Eversole) Thacker. I am researching DENNIS, MANNING, SEXTON, LAWSON, DONATHAN, WARD, THACKER, BROOKS, ZORNES, and some other lines. Right now, I'm joining this list, because I believe one of my grandfather's sisters may have moved to Portsmouth prior to her death. Her name was Mary Alice Dennis. I think that she married an Aflred Manning. Mary Alice Dennis was born about 1863 in the Morgan/Rowan County, Kentucky area. Her father was Greenberry Dennis and her mother was Nancy Emaline Manning Dennis. Much of the rest of the family moved from Rowan County in the early 1900s and settled in Ashland, KY. I'm hoping that someone on this list may have Mary A. Dennis Manning in their line, if she indeed married into the Manning family and lived in Portsmouth.
