    1. [OHSCIOTO] Joshua Bennett & Sarah CRAIG
    2. Judy Cornick
    3. I have more on the Bennett Family - Nothing more on Sarah CRAIG If anyone can add to this Bennett Line, please let me know.. Joshua Bennett was the son of Thomas Bennett I, b abt Ap 1770 & Nancy JENKINS b 4 Dec 1775 Thomas Bennett, Sr. was a farmer and a Veteran of the War of 1812. His wife Nancy JENKINS Bennett, died 4 Oct 1846 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery at Minford, Madison Twp., Scioto Co., OH. Thomas moved west with his children and is buried in Greenwick Cemetery, Andrew County, Missouri, having died 7 July 1848. His will is recorded in Scioto Co., OH. Grandson of Charles Bennett I (nickname "Robert"), b Abt. 1730 & Martha COLLINS, b abt 1832 Charles Bennett married 11 Sept 1753 Baltimore, MD to Martha COLLINS. They lived in Baltimore, MD a short time before moving to Berkeley County, then Monongalia County, West Virginia in 1778. As seven children moved west into Scioto County, OH, the old people were persuaded to move, too. Evidence of Charles and Martha COLLINS Bennett's descendants is provided by a friendly partition suit in 1853 court records. Thier son, Caleb Bennett, was the last to die, and left no lineal heirs, so his many nieces, nephews and other legal heirs petitioned to sell his 40 acres. The case, and three early birth records, prove 10 of 11 children Martha is said to have had. Martha COLLINS Bennett head stone as Squires Cemetery, Minford, Madison Twp., Scioto Co., OH reads "M. Bennett age 83 D. July 2 1815. Had 11 children, 68 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren." *********************************************************************************** Misc. My great-great grandmother was on the list. Mary Geis, wife of Sebastian. Are these headstones still there and can someone tell me where this cemetery is located? I recently found the Township and Section where the Geis farm was located in the 1850s to 1890s. Where can I get the plat map? It was described as 2 miles NE of Portsmouth on the graveyard road.
