Their great great grandson is getting a headstone for their grave. I have no info on Elizabeth's parents or siblings, but I did find that there is a will/estate for her husband John in 1858 in Gallia Co Ohio. I am in the process of requesting the three wills and the one guardianship record that is listed in Gallia Co for the Zink family. There is a chance that more info will be in those papers, but not typically about the wife's family. I have info from Wm (Phineas) down, but not much on his father and uncles. One uncle, James Madison Zink, moved with his wife, Susan Grove, to Indiana or Illinois. I have info on one of their daughters which outlines her sisters and talks about their father and mother. I have them in 1850, but not any other. By 1858, John is deceased. I am hoping that his 1858 will can provide info about the other children and the whereabouts of Elizabeth. She might be re-married by 1860, who knows? I do know there are other children and I have info on Emily. . .she married Charles Raynor. I have Emily and Charle's death certificates. I would love to have an obit for her though. . .Will have to play that one by ear. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [OHSCIOTO] Upper Ohio River and Town Maps (1877)
    2. Bob Moyer
    3. My great-great grandfather was "Judge" Martin Heckard (1809-1877), a lawyer in Pomeroy and many of his clients were on both sides of the river from Cincinnati to Wheeling. He also was one of the early teachers at Meigs Academy in Chester. He grew up in Columbiana and Jefferson Counties and came down to Meigs County about 1832. A few years ago I compiled property owner river maps for the year 1877 following his travels up and down the Ohio River and thought now might be a good time to make them available for everyone at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~moyer/Ohio-River-Maps/index.htm Please feel free to download them - they are large files - but excellent quality. They are in PDF format so you can print any section or part that you need - just save them to your computer. There's also a link on the page to another source where I found some Revolutionary War Pension Applications (original documents) for SE Ohio and West Virginia and I added an example. I stumbled on these because they were prepared by Mr. Heckard when he was a lawyer. Too bad the applicant were not our family . . . . the last name was Frasher. I hope you find the maps as useful as I have. Please feel free to pass this information along to any other mailing lists or researchers. My plans are to eventually finish the set which runs from Cincinnati to Pittsburgh as time permits. Good luck with your research. Bob Moyer

A marriage cert for... who and John Ingels? Elizabeth Ingels Zink? Do you have any clues as to who her parents were? I see the problem on the transcription errors. The reader looked at ZINK and thought it said QUICK. The Z's are hard to read. On their sons John b. 1896 d. 9/12/1940 death record he lists fa. William Zink and Amanda Manley. On Amanda's death cert. (misread transcription Quick) says parents: James Manley and Mary Jane Keyes. I looked in Scioto Co. 1870 census and there she is, 16 years old. b. Oh 1854. Fa. James b. 1829 Ky and Mo. Mary Jane b. 1833 Oh. In the 1850 census for Meigs Co. there are Isaac Manley b 1794 Ky and wife Esther b. 1793 Ky . They have a son James b. 1829 Ky so I guess those are his parents? On the 1850 census the name you can't read for John Jr. son is Phineas 6 months old. Since I can't find John and Elizabeth in any other census I have no clue if they had other children. Did you find them in any other census records?
