Often when doing this work it helps to have someone see the same material and draw the same conclusion! I have not seen John and second wife Julia. Nor have I seen Lewis, James Julia and John on a Kentucky Census (lets face it, there are lots of Carr's in KY at this time it seems!) I will look! Lots of other sibilings would put the info in Lee's Obit paid as well. I attached his obit just for the heck of it if you are interested! Hello, I am looking for a copy of the Chancery Record, Vol.B., page 1 (and any more pages pertaining to this petition) of the Petition to sell real estate of James Thompson, deceased. This record is dated September 17, 1831. Names the children of James Thompson: Rees was administrator of the estate vs. Robert, John, James, Joseph, Polly and Sarah- heirs of James Thompson, deceased. If anyone is going to the court house and would be willing to make a copy of these pages for me, I would be so grateful. Of course I would pay the expenses. Thank you so much for your help! I am a descendant of James through his son John and wife Sarah Malone Thompson. Thank you, Marcia

I found them in the 1880 Scott Co, VA census also, thanks to Annie's DC and figured that the 1880 Leonadas could be your Lee. Did you find John and 2nd wife Julia in 1900, 1910 and 1920 census records? I believe the Kentucky connection is that John and Julia with Lewis and James (and many other children)and also separate family of Lee with Mollie & children are all in Lawrence County KY in 1900 census. I had come across the DC before and suspected it was a Lee Carr for a signature. I was at Memorial Burial Park trying to confirm this but their records just have a name and date of burial (John was the 25th person buried in the cemetery!) Today I came across on that website you gave a DC for Lewis's daughter Annie. Led me to see that Lewis was born in Scott Co. Virginia. The 1880 has a John Carr with a son Leeonadas who is the right age and right Place of Birth to be Lee Carr. I have a query up on the Scott County Virginia board trying to find anything else on the family from their time there. I gather they were in Kentucky at some point, because that is where Lee met wife Mollie Castle Carr. Hopefully this will all yield some more good news! Many Thanks Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I know John was born in Virginia not sure about Minnie. I know that they had 3 sons, Lewis, Lee and James. Minnie died at some point, and John remarried. When Lee died in 1942, Lewis was listed as living in Sciotoville and James listed as living in St. Louis, Missouri. I am a descendent of Lee Carr and his wife Mollie Castle Carr. I know Lewis was married to a Mary Ella (or Ellen). They had several children, John(living in Madison, Wisconsin in 1969), , James W, Homer (James and Homer lived in Washington Court House as of 1969) as well as daughters Annie and Herma (later Herma Gilipin). Annie, Lewis and Mary Ella (Ellen) are buried in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Essentially what I am hoping to find is information on the parents of Lewis, Lee and James Carr. Also I am hoping to make contact with any descendents of Lewis or James Carr that might find this post. I have done some fairly detailed searching as far as records go, but have had no sucess in locating and confirming the parents of Lewis, Lee and James. Any help or personal information related to this family would be excellent! Thanks, Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
